Climate Change Strategy (CCS) Portsmouth City Council and their Climate Change Officer - Jasmine Fletcher have researched, written and endorsed their Climate Change Strategy in March 2009. One target in the CCS is that a 30% reduction in energy use and CO2 must be achived within the next five years. PSECC will assist this process. |

Admiral Lord Nelson school & Nineteen other schools in Portsmouth City are being targetted for between 5KW & 7KW of Solar PV panels per school. PSECC have met with each of the above schools in this first project for Portsmouth Cty Council and are submitting for grant under the Low Carbon Building Programme (LCBP) for 50% funding and are also negotiating the remaining 50% matched funding. PSECC have arranged for a LCBP grant submission for a 6.12KW Solar PV system on the South facing roof of the Civic Offices. Matched funding will be sort by PSECC in order for the Council to lead by example in this exciting project under their new Climate Change Strategy. |

|
Gunwharfe management team have agreed to a 10% reduction in energy and CO2 emission over the next five years. The Tower at Gunwharf could have it’s lights powered directly from Solar PV panels placed on the adjacent Gunwharf shopping complex roof. PSECC are to hold meetings with the Gunwharf management team to discuss options.
